If you look at the very first “Hello World” post on this website, written way back in January 2024, you will find a bright warning right at the top:
Well, it turns out that was a very accurate warning. Back then, after spending hours fighting with Nix and Hugo configurations, I promised to post about technology, random thoughts, and even cheesecake recipes. Fast forward to today, and that remained the only post on this page.
So, what changed? Why am I back here writing this?
A new revamp!#
Recently, I printed some physical business cards to hand out at conferences, labs, and academic meetings. On the back of those cards, I placed a QR Code to this’s website main page. It suddenly hit me: if I am handing this QR Code to professors, researchers, and colleagues, it probably shouldn’t lead to an abandoned “Hello World” page promising a cheesecake recipe that never arrived!
This realization prompted a complete revamp. I am renewing my vows with this website, but with a shift in focus. I am officially transitioning this space from a generic blog into my personal page and professional portfolio.
Since 2024, a lot has happened. I finished my Computer Engineering degree, started my Master’s at USP (EESC), joined the Center for Robotics (CRob), and even spent time as a visiting researcher in Japan. My focus has sharpened around Aerial Robotics (UAVs), State Estimation, and Embedded Systems. From now on, this page will serve as a showcase for my academic work and research interests.
If you look around, you will notice some changes:
- A brand new About Me section detailing my academic journey.
- A Projects tab (currently under construction) where I will document my ongoing research, collaborations and other intersting things.
